High Gain WiFi Antennas
A high gain WiFi antenna allows a WiFi network to provide a powerful directional signal that serves a specific area without diluting overall strength. Any antenna within the beam width of a high gain antenna will enjoy a potent signal. A network that features point to point or even point to multipoint would benefit from high gain WiFi receivers.
Where to Use High Gain Antennas
Since high gain antennas rank among the most precise in terms of targeting, they can really only be deployed under a specific set of conditions. For example, a high gain antenna would be problematic for transmission reliability in a point-to-point network with intervening mountains. In order to ensure that a signal could pass over the mountains, you’d want to use an omnidirectional or even a sector antenna capable of appropriate beam width.
Protecting High Gain WiFi Antennas
High gain WiFi antennas are almost categorically stationed outdoors. As such, your network will be exposed to the elements, and wear and tear can be an issue. Many models of antenna’s however, include radomes, which are shields that prevent wear on a dish from nominal use. Grounding of the antenna is also crucial, so the installation of a lightning rod is very important as well.
We offer a wide range of antennas, from sector antennas to personal mobile antennas.
